The Ultimate Video Game Competition at Super Cincy Expo!
Get ready for the gaming event of the year! Icon Gaming will host the Ultimate Video Game Competition at Super Cincy Expo, where you can showcase your gaming talents. At this electrifying tournament, not only do you get to enjoy your favorite games, but you also have a chance to win cash prizes and merch.
The games featured in the tournament include:
- Super Smash Bros Ultimate (Doubles & Singles)
- Mortal Kombat 1 (Singles)
- Tekken 8
- Killer Instinct (Singles)
- Street Fighter 6
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
TOURNAMENT DETAILS: KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER
Icon Gaming is set to ensure a seamless gaming experience at the tournament during the Super Cincy Expo. To reserve your place in the competition, simply register on the day of the tournament in rooms 201-204 at the Sharonville Convention Center.
Don’t forget, this is a “bring your own controller” affair, and you must have purchased expo admission for the day of the tournament. Further details and comprehensive rules will be provided as we get closer to the event date. Secure your spot and get ready to game on!

TOURNAMENT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHERE TO SIGN UP
- Find the iCon check-in table located in Room 201 – 204 and speak to an available Tournament Organizer about tournament times. Be prepared to sign-up for a tournament an hour before the scheduled start time.
TOURNAMENT FEE
- The gaming tournaments hosted by Icon and the consoles available for play require a separate fee in addition to your Super Cincy Expo admission ticket. However, the Tecmo Super Bowl, the Costume and Game Competition and Arcades are included in your Super Cincy Expo admission.
- $10 for a day entry.
- $15 for a weekend entry.
CONTROLLERS
- Controllers will be readily available for all players entering tournaments for the weekend, but bringing your own controller is also highly encouraged. GameCube controllers, Joy-Cons, Pro Controllers, and Xbox One controllers are all accepted. A limited number of Pro Controllers and Joy-Cons will be available for check-out with an ID.
GAMES HOSTED
- The below games will have tournaments throughout the weekend. If you pay for a $10 day entry, every tournament hosted that day is covered. If you have a $15 weekend entry, every tournament throughout the weekend is covered.

GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP
- Remember to keep a positive attitude and good sportsmanship during the convention. While competition is healthy, hostility is not. A friendly atmosphere fosters long-lasting friendships and fun memories. Fighting, provoking, and aggression will not be condoned.
CLEANLINESS / HEALTH
- It’s important to stay hydrated, healthy, and hygienic throughout the weekend. You are not the only person sharing the space–it’s for everyone! Remember to get a good night’s sleep, eat well, and wash up so everyone can be comfortable.
QUICK TOURNAMENT RULES
- Each fighting game tournament will be double elimination. Each game will have its own set of rules that will be explained before each tournament starts. Announcements will be made prior to each tournament sign-up start, so make sure you are not late.
