TOURNAMENT DETAILS: KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER
Icon Gaming, Battle Buddies Gaming, and Velocity Esports are set to ensure a seamless gaming experience at the tournament during the Super Cincy Expo. To reserve your place in the competition, simply register on the day of the tournament in at the Sharonville Convention Center. Entry into HALO and Modern Warfare we suggest you register in advance at battlebuddies-gaming.com.
Don’t forget, this is a “bring your own controller” affair, and you must have purchased expo admission for the day of the tournament. Further details and comprehensive rules will be provided as we get closer to the event date. Secure your spot and get ready to game on.

-A “team” will consist of one (1) Player. Multiple teams from each eligible institution will be allowed to participate in the tournament.

TOURNAMENT FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHERE TO SIGN UP
- Find the iCon, Battle Buddies Gaming, or Velocity Esports check-in tables located in the gaming hall and speak to an available Tournament Organizer about tournament times. Be prepared to sign-up for a tournament an hour before the scheduled start time.

TOURNAMENT FEE
- The gaming tournaments hosted by Icon, Battle Buddies Gaming, and Velocity Esports require a separate fee in addition to your Super Cincy Expo admission ticket. However, TECMO Super Bowl, Track and Field Costume and Game Competition, Giant Controller Speed Run and Arcades are included in your Super Cincy Expo admission.
- The tournament fee for Icon’s tournaments (all of the fighting games, Jackbox, and Nintendo games) will be $15 for a single day pass and $20 for an entire weekend pass. A single day pass entitles you to ALL games offered by Icon on that day. A weekend pass from Icon entitles you to ALL games offered by Icon for the whole weekend.
- The tournament fee for Battle Buddies Gaming is $5 per person for each game. Some games require a team (Gears of War, Modern Warfare 2v2 modes) so it will be $10 per team.
- Velocity Esports’ fee is $15 per tournament.
CONTROLLERS
- Controllers will be readily available for all players entering tournaments for the weekend, but bringing your own controller is also highly encouraged. GameCube controllers, Joy-Cons, Pro Controllers, and Xbox One controllers are all accepted. A limited number of Pro Controllers and Joy-Cons will be available for check-out with an ID.
- Adapters for Playstation to Xbox controller will not be provided. People will need to bring their own adapter for this.

GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP
- Remember to keep a positive attitude and good sportsmanship during the convention. While competition is healthy, hostility is not. A friendly atmosphere fosters long-lasting friendships and fun memories. Fighting, provoking, and aggression will not be condoned.
CLEANLINESS / HEALTH
- It’s important to stay hydrated, healthy, and hygienic throughout the weekend. You are not the only person sharing the space–it’s for everyone! Remember to get a good night’s sleep, eat well, and wash up so everyone can be comfortable.
