START OF THE GAME
- A coin toss will take place in which the winner of the coin toss selects two teams.
- The coin toss loser gets the option to choose which team they want to play as in this game only and is player 2/ away team. The winner of the coin toss is player 1/home team.
- Stipulation: The winner of the coin toss can only choose a matchup 1x throughout the day.
- Example: A contestant wins the coin toss and chooses the Raiders and the Browns. The winner of the coin toss cannot choose that matchup for the rest of the tournament unless another contestant wins the coin toss in a future game and chooses that matchup.
RULES
- On defense you cannot lurch. Lurching is defined as a step & dive by the defensive lineman as soon as ball is snapped.
- If a player is using a defensive lineman, that player must either engage the offensive lineman first or go to the outside of the tackle before you dive. If done by accident, then the next play is an automatic first down play. If this occurs a second time, it will result in forfeit of game.
- Changing playbooks & alignment before start of game is allowed.
- A wide receiver and/or tight end cannot carry the football unless it is a reverse.
- Unlike the NFL, there are no ties in this tournament. If the game is tied by the end of regulation, a new game is started & the receiving team from 1st OT will kick off in the new game. The first score wins.
SYSTEM MALFUNCTION/ISSUES
- If a system failure occurs within the first quarter before a score, games will be restarted and replayed from the start.
- If a system malfunction occurs in the second half, only the second half is replayed. When this occurs, the scores from each half are added together to obtain the final score.
- If the game or any equipment malfunctions due to human error, the Expo reserves the right to declare a winner without replaying any portion of the game.
TOURNAMENT DISPUTES
- The Expo officials decide and have final say on any/all disputes. There are no protests allowed.
MISC. RULES/RIGHTS OF OFFICIALS
- Any issues or broken rules that arise during the tournament will be up to the Expo officials to decide.
- If a player/contestant continues to present problems persists, then it could lead to forfeiture/ tournament banning.
- The Expo officials reserve the right to change, update, clarify, add or subtract rules, if deemed necessary.
REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN! This is our first year for the Super Cincy Expo and we will adjust rules in the future based on the efficiency of this year’s rules. Please be patient with the Expo officials and the tournament.
